Guided Tours of Abbey House

Abbey House, the official residence of the Mayor of Winchester, will be open to visitors for guided tours by Winchester City Tourist Guides on selected dates this year.

There are just five cities in the country with official residences for their Mayors, and Winchester is proud to be one of them. Abbey House, an elegant property built in around 1700 is sited in the beautiful Abbey Gardens just off The Broadway in Winchester.

This is a rare opportunity for people to visit a building that isn't normally open to the public and the tour will include an opportunity to meet the current Mayor, Councillor Chris Pines, and have photos taken with him.

Early booking is advised as places are limited. Tickets are £5 each and are available from Winchester Tourist Information Centre, details on the top right hand side of this page.
