Bees-a-buzzin' are back

In support of National Insect Week, Meridian Beekeepers will be at Marwell Zoological Park, near Winchester, during June (Monday 23rd- Sunday 29th) to explain the mysterious ways of bees and demonstrate bee-keeping techniques.

Watch honey bees at close quarters in an observation hive and see the queen bee as she lays eggs. Use a microscope to see how complex honeycomb is, inspect bee nests and watch a colony of bumble bees at work. Expert bee keepers will also be on hand.

The displays, talks, activities and demonstrations of bee-keeping will be taking place from Monday 23rd- Sunday 29th June next to the tiger playground in the Park.

Entry is free although normal Park admission costs apply.
