The settlement of Winchester begins in about 150BC when a large defended enclosure was created on the western slopes of the modern city, in the area of Oram's Arbour.

Park & Ride Winchester operates a park and ride system which is easily accessible from the M3 motorway, which provides frequent bus services to all main areas of Winchester City Centre.

Recent work - paintings by Clare Goodman

An exhibition of recent work by local artist Clare Goodman runs from Saturday 7th June until Sunday 22nd June at City Space in Winchester Discovery Centre.

The Promise of 2012

The third Winchester Tourism Summit took place on Tuesday 15th July 2008 at Winchester Guildhall, with over 70 people in attendance including delegates from local businesses and residents.
