Make a Booking

To secure accommodation that best suits your requirements, we suggest you book in advance as Winchester is very busy at certain times of year.

Website

'Real time' room availability can be checked on the searchable accommodation pages using the links on the right. You can either contact establishments direct or, if you need more assistance in making your choice, the Tourist Information Centre's reservation service can help you.

Telephone Booking

Telephone 01962 840 500 to speak to a tourist information assistant who can book accommodation* for you, based on your requirements. The cost of this service is £5, plus a 10% deposit from the cost of the first night's stay, which is deducted from your final bill at the accommodation. This is payable by Access, MasterCard, Switch or Visa.

Email Booking

Download the accommodation booking form (doc) and email the completed form to tourism@winchester.gov.uk. Tourist information staff will then find you suitable accommodation*, based on your requirements. The cost of this service is £5, plus a 10% deposit from the cost of the first night's stay, which is deducted from your final bill at the accommodation. This is payable by Access, MasterCard, Switch or Visa.

Book in Person

If you visit the Tourist Information Centre in person, accommodation in the city and surrounding area for the same day or in advance can be arranged for you*. The cost of this service is £4, plus a 10% deposit from the cost of the first night's stay, which is deducted from your final bill at the accommodation.

Out of Hours

If you arrive in Winchester when the Tourist Information Centre is closed, you will find accommodation information on the out-of-hours information boards displayed outside the centre. However, we strongly recommend booking in advance where possible.

Book a Bed Ahead

If you are travelling on to another destination, we can Book a Bed Ahead for you. This service costs £4 plus a refundable deposit of 10% (or £5 in total, depending on the area booked). Securing your accommodation in advance will allow you to enjoy a relaxing journey to your next destination, without the worry of a last minute search.
